2. Your Day at the DMZ (8 Hours)

Here's what a typical day looks like. Times may shift based on traffic or your requests.

8:00-9:00	Drive to Paju	🛣️ Relax during the 1-hour drive north. Your guide shares fascinating Korean War stories. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, bottled water, and snacks.
9:00-9:40	☕ Riverside Cafe	✨ SPECIAL STOP: Coffee break at a cafe overlooking the Imjingang River. You can actually see North Korean territory from here! Perfect spot for unique photos.
9:40-10:30	Imjingak Peace Park	🕊️ Walk across the Freedom Bridge where POWs returned home. See the bullet-riddled train from the Korean War. Ring the Peace Bell and make a wish for reunification.
10:30-10:45	Checkpoint	🪪 Show your passport at the military checkpoint. Board the DMZ shuttle bus (required by military rules).
10:45-11:15	3rd Tunnel	⛏️ Walk into a secret tunnel North Korea dug to invade Seoul! Go 73 meters underground and walk 1.6km into the tunnel. You'll be just 170 meters from the actual border.
11:15-11:45	Dora Observatory	🔭 Look into North Korea with your own eyes! See the propaganda village and Kaesong Industrial Complex. Use binoculars to spot North Korean farmers working.
11:45-12:00	Unification Village	🛒 Buy unique souvenirs only available in the DMZ. Try DMZ rice and Jangdan soybeans grown near the border.

2:30-3:20	Suspension Bridge	🌉 Walk across the 150-meter Gamaksan Suspension Bridge. This bridge honors British soldiers who fought in the Korean War. Enjoy mountain views and fresh air on a short hike.
3:20-4:00	Drive Back	🚐 Relax on the ride back to Seoul. Ask your guide for restaurant or attraction tips. We can drop you at another location if you'd like.

🏛️ Must-See DMZ Attractions

3rd Infiltration Tunnel	In 1978, South Korea discovered this secret tunnel. North Korea had dug it to send 30,000 soldiers to attack Seoul in just one hour. You'll walk 73 meters underground and get within 170 meters of the actual border. It's a bit spooky but absolutely fascinating!
Dora Observatory	This is the closest you can get to North Korea without crossing the border. On clear days, you can see North Korean farmers working in the fields, the empty "propaganda village," and the Kaesong Industrial Complex. Bring your camera - the view is surreal.
Imjingak Peace Park	This park tells the story of Korea's division. See the Freedom Bridge where prisoners of war walked home after the armistice. Touch a real train car destroyed during the war, still full of bullet holes. Ring the Peace Bell and hope for reunification someday.
Gamaksan Suspension Bridge	This 150-meter bridge honors the British Gloucestershire Regiment who fought bravely in the Korean War. Walk across for beautiful views of the Imjingang River and surrounding mountains. It's a peaceful way to reflect on history.

📋 YOU MUST BRING: • Your passport (original, not a copy) - NO passport = NO entry to DMZ • Comfortable walking shoes - You'll walk in the tunnel (it's steep!) 👔 DRESS CODE (Military rules, not ours!): • No sleeveless tops or tank tops • No shorts or mini skirts • No flip-flops or sandals • No military-style clothing Just dress casually and comfortably - jeans and sneakers are perfect!
